Danner Elected President of Missouri Association of Counties

Eva Danner, President Missouri Association of Counties

Livingston County Presiding Commissioner Eva Danner, of Chillicothe, was inaugurated as president of the Missouri Association of Counties and will begin her official duties Jan. 1, 2010.

MAC is a lobbying alliance representing more than 1,400 county elected officials from throughout Missouri and assists its member counties in serving the best interests of local taxpayers.

Danner, 61, has served as presiding commissioner of Livingston County for the last 15 years. She was appointed by the Missouri Supreme Court to serve on the Judicial Finance Commission, and she also serves on MAC’s Self-Insured Workers Compensation Fund Board. Locally, Danner serves on the Workforce Investment Board as well as on the Green Hills Regional Planning Commission. Danner succeeds Carroll County Clerk Peggy McGaugh as MAC president.

Having been elected president, Danner took the oath of office during the 38th annual Conference and Trade Show at Tan-Tar-A Resort in Camden County in November. Boone County Associate Commissioner Karen Miller, who currently serves as president of the National Association of Counties, administered the oath of office.
